Wildchild was born from motherhood, flour, and the stubborn belief that you don't have to choose between presence and building your dreams.

A woman is holding a young child at a kitchen counter. The woman is kissing the child's cheek. The counter has various cooking ingredients and utensils. There are papers with recipes and notes on the counter. The kitchen has wooden cabinets, a window, and a sink in the background.

It started with a baby, a kitchen, and a lot of questions.

When I found out I was pregnant with Nuno, everything shifted. Not just the obvious things — the sleep schedule, the plans, the way I thought about time — but something deeper. A quiet, insistent voice asking: what do I actually want to build?

I'd spent years building Piccola Cucina, crafting dinner parties and cooking classes, hosting strangers who became friends around a shared table. I loved it. But I wanted something I could carry into motherhood with me. Something that could grow alongside Nuno.

So I went back to my childhood's favorite treats for inspiration.

Wildchild is not just a bakery. It’s my philosophy.

I wanted to make treats that were genuinely good — made with real ingredients, with care, without cutting corners — but that also felt alive. Playful. A little bit mischievous. The kind of thing a kid tears the wrapper off of with both hands, and a grown-up sneaks a second one of.

I wanted to build something small enough to stay intentional, and joyful enough to be worth doing every week.

That’s Wildchild. Small batches. Real ingredients. Made in my kitchen in Camden, Maine, with my son nearby — usually watching, sometimes sleeping, always making it better just by being there.

His name is Nuno. He’s my co-founder, my muse, and my future taste-tester. He hasn’t hit solids yet.

He came into the world in Spring 2026, and Wildchild came with him. Every batch I bake is made in the world he’s growing up in. Every recipe is something I’d feed him without hesitation. Every drop we release is a small celebration of showing up — for him, for our family and community.

If there’s flour on the counter and music on the speaker, we’re probably in the middle of something good.

What we make and why it matters.

Everything at Wildchild is baked in small batches, made to order, and released weekly as part of our drop rotation. That means no sitting on shelves. No compromises on freshness. Just the real thing, made with intention.
